THEODOR COSTESCU” National Economic Highschool from DROBETA TURNU SEVERIN is the sequel of Elementary Commercial School founded in 1898. According to the needs and legislation this school developed and changed into: Commercial School (1924-1936), Commercial Gymnasium (1936-1937), Commercial High School (1937-1948), Technical School of Mixed Administration (1948-1951), Middlle Technical School of Commerce (1951-1954), Economic High School (1966-1990), Administrative Economic School Group (1990-1998).The Administrative Economic School Group has changed its name into “THEODOR COSTESCU” National Economic College since 1998, taking over the name of the man who fought for the setting up of the Commercial School.

The college offers to those who are interested in getting a job an attractive sort of specialisations such as: economic, administrative, catering, and tourism. Besides, it offers other optional disciplines, an adequate material support as well as well trained teachers.

Participants of the Study Visit on adult learning pathways to entrepreneurial skills visit the Economic Highschool to:
Be introduced to the concept of Mock company (a fake company where students aged 17-19 practise their entrepreneurial skills). 
Presentation of projects, competitions, impact of the Mock companies-Introduction to the project and the City of learning platform
Present and discuss if and how the City of Learning platform can:
support the host in keeping up with the support given to adult students who have not passed the Baccalaureate exam-reinforce the prior learning
support the adults students in developing new required skills-support the adult students in making career choices

This activity is part of the Study Visit on adult learning pathways to entrepreneurial skills, within the project Digital technology for pathways to entrepreneurial skills and takes place in Drobeta Turnu Severin from 20-24 June 2022.
